The Race for the Larry O’Brien Trophy

The NBA Playoffs have started off with a bang. Which team will you support to make it through to the final? Will it be LeBron’s year to take the trophy, or will his aims to be the best be thwarted by the likes of Kobe Bryant and the Lakers? Either way, I’m sure you’ll be counting down the minutes until the next round of playoff games start on your customized clocks. It’ll definitely be a stressful run to the finals, as every team in the playoffs this year look good which means many of you will be in need of your promotional basketball stress balls for each game! So grab you teams’ logoed t-shirt, sit back and watch the magic unfold in front of your very eyes!

The Playoffs Are Here

After some thrilling end of the season games, the NHL playoffs are finally here. Who will win? The Capitals look to be unstoppable; however Sid Crosby and the Penguins may have something to say for themselves. This should be an extremely exciting month of hockey playoffs, so grab your customized shirt and logoed hat and support your team. This year’s playoffs look to be highly entertaining, and I have a feeling I’m going to need my promotional hockey stress ball just to get through it.

Mickelson’s Memorable Masters Moment

The end of the Masters Tournament saw Phil Mickelson putting on the famous Green Jacket. Donning the promotional jacket, Mickelson was all smiles as he made a comeback victory shooting sixteen under in the tournament. Tiger Woods saw his return to golf end with a fourth place finish, which one would consider pretty decent after a five month break, yet Woods announced he plans on taking another break after this tournament. Even with that news though, Mickelson deserves all the attention, as his nervous at times, but brilliant win will definitely have him wiping the sweat off his brow with his customized golf towel.

So check this advertising promotion from the Seattle Mariners for their game against the Twins on June 3. They are offering a Cheezburger Night special to all fans that purchase their tickets through this special deal which offers pre-game festivities, free burgers AND a free Happy Cat Bobblehead. Talk about great promotional giveaways! So gather your family and friends, get out your logoed baseball hats, and enjoy a good old game of baseball!

McNabb Is a Red?

Grab your promotional stress balls Philly fans, because you’re sure going to need it. In one of the most shocking transfers during the offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles have traded their all-star quarterback Donovan McNabb to one of their archrivals, the Washington Redskins. Seriously, one has to inquire as to what the higher ups at the Eagles were thinking with this trade. Not only are you putting a great quarterback on a rival team, but you’re putting them on a rival team you have to play twice and beat out in your own division. One can only wonder if this decision is going to come back and haunt the Eagles, for I can clearly see come playoff time, the Eagles sitting on their custom football pillows while the Redskins are vying for the Superbowl.

Tiger Woods Is Coming Back…

…to golf, that is, and not his wife. Sorry, I just had to. The upcoming Master’s tournament will see the return of the world’s number one golfer, and I, for one, would like to see him win the whole shebang and get all of his personal life stuff out of the news. And with the great weather we’ve been having, I encourage you to grab your promotional golf gear and practice your shot! Even if it rains, you can always grab your custom golf umbrella…those things are so big that you’ll most definitely keep dry!

Top of the Sports Ratings Chart

Last night, ESPN held a meeting to determine which sport is the most popular. Basing it off of viewings and merchandise sold, ESPN finally came to the conclusion that professional darts is the number one sport in the world. Having just under 1 billion fans worldwide, professional darts has attracted such a mixed crowd ranging from pub locals to bored office workers, and has rightfully claimed the heavyweight belt for best sport. In an exclusive interview with US President Barack Obama, he claimed that “professional darts has always been the backbone of the sporting world. It takes strategy and precision to win, and isn’t just about pumping up your muscles or being very tall.” How incredible is that! I bet you’d never guess that it’s April Fool’s Day. Seriously now, did you really think professional darts would ever be number one? However, at the same time, we all enjoy playing darts, so why not grab a promotional game dart board just for some kicks and grab a few drinks with your buddies. They even make great personalized employee gifts!

Revenge is a dish best served cold!

In the UEFA Champions League Final of 1999, Manchester United overcame Bayern Munich, 2-1, in a thrilling come from behind win. Within the first 5 minutes of the game, Bayern Munich had scored, and looked to be holding the trophy as European champions. However, two stoppage time goals (additional time after 90 minutes) from United subs Teddy Sherringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer saw United make one of the most incredible comebacks in soccer. The game was heralded as the most dramatic final of all time, and Bayern has been looking for revenge ever since…and now they’ve almost got it. Last night, United went to Munich to play Bayern in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals and looked like they were going to win it after Wayne Rooney put them in front after only 64 seconds of gameplay. However, Bayern remained strong and eventually found the net to equalize the game in the second half. Then, with the game all but over and in the final seconds of stoppage time, Bayern striker Olic snatched an out of nowhere goal to put Munich up 2-1. Talk about getting the perfect revenge, even though there is still one more leg to play at Old Trafford in Manchester. I bet Sir Alex Ferguson is wishing that the ref’s custom watch had run faster so that he could have escaped with a draw. However, Olic had an opportunity and buried the promotional ball in the back of the net!

Nadal advances from the 3rd Round

Rafael Nadal was able to pull out a victory over David Nalbandian after going down a set in the third round of the Ericsson Open in Miami. The fourth-ranked player in the world, Nadal, won the next two sets to send him through to the next round, with the final score being, 6-7 (8-10), 6-2, 6-2. Nalbandian put up a great effort seeing that he only recently returned after recovering from hip surgery, however he was no match for the Spaniard, who is looking to reclaim the title of being the number 1 seed. Watching this match reminded me that, with spring arriving, it’s now time to grab my logoed tennis balls and hit the courts. I, however, will need to meditate before I play as I am extremely prone to John McEnroe syndrome (temper tantrums). Maybe a custom tennis stress ball would help me deal with that…Either way, my promotional tennis bag is packed and I’m ready to start serving up some victories!

MLB is Around the Corner

The Major League Baseball season will kick off this April 4th with a bang as the New York Yankees travel to Boston to battle the Red Sox (Seattle is also play San Francisco…but that’s not really important). Everyone always tunes in to this clash of the titans and I, for one, can’t wait to see the Yankees crush those wannabe’s (yeah, I’m biased). So get ready to start wearing your favorite logoed baseball hats, unless you’re a Red Sox fan because you’ll be needing your custom sports stress ball to help you deal with how much your team stinks!
