Last night, ESPN held a meeting to determine which sport is the most popular. Basing it off of viewings and merchandise sold, ESPN finally came to the conclusion that professional darts is the number one sport in the world. Having just under 1 billion fans worldwide, professional darts has attracted such a mixed crowd ranging from pub locals to bored office workers, and has rightfully claimed the heavyweight belt for best sport. In an exclusive interview with US President Barack Obama, he claimed that “professional darts has always been the backbone of the sporting world. Then, with the game all but over and in the final seconds of stoppage time, Bayern striker Olic snatched an out of nowhere goal to put Munich up 2-1. Talk about getting the perfect revenge, even though there is still one more leg to play at Old Trafford in Manchester. I bet Sir Alex Ferguson is wishing that the ref’s
Rafael Nadal was able to pull out a victory over David Nalbandian after going down a set in the third round of the Ericsson Open in Miami. The fourth-ranked player in the world, Nadal, won the next two sets to send him through to the next round, with the final score being, 6-7 (8-10), 6-2, 6-2. Nalbandian put up a great effort seeing that he only recently returned after recovering from hip surgery, however he was no match for the Spaniard, who is looking to reclaim the title of being the number 1 seed. Watching this match reminded me that, with spring arriving, it’s now time to grab my
The Major League Baseball season will kick off this April 4th with a bang as the New York Yankees travel to Boston to battle the Red Sox (Seattle is also play San Francisco…but that’s not really important). Everyone always tunes in to this clash of the titans and I, for one, can’t wait to see the Yankees crush those wannabe’s (yeah, I’m biased). So get ready to start wearing your favorite
